Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Alyxandria and Lance's story began in the Fall of 2012. Lance had just moved to Dallas to begin his new job, and Alyxandria had already been living in the city for two years. The couple met through mutual friends, and consequently became friends themselves. Overtime, the friendship grew into courtship. After two years of dating, Lance decided to pop the question.
Lance planned a nice dinner at the couple’s favorite restaurant, The Porch. Dinner was followed by drinks with friends at Hotel Belmont. Hotel Belmont holds a very special place in their hearts, it is where they first laid eyes on one another. It was only right that Lance take Alyxandria back to where it all began. Lance nervously, surprised Alyxandria with the sweetest proposal.

Describe your engagement session. Our engagement session was so much fun! We wanted to capture Houston for its raw beauty and also add a touch of elegance.
We met with our photographer Edward, and he took the time to understand us. With his understanding of raw meets elegance he was able to capture our pure bliss and joy.

What did you do on your first date? We went to Benihana on our first date. That date was so much fun from start to finish. This date really set the tone for the rest of our relationship. The fun has not stopped yet.

What's your favorite thing to do as a couple? Our favorite thing to do as a couple is travel to new places and act as food critics. We also enjoy cooking and exercising together.

How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been smooth thus far. We just hit crunch time so I'm sure the stress will kick in soon.

Tell us what you're looking forward to most on the wedding day. We are looking forward to celebrating with our families and friends in one place with great food and drinks.
