A couple of weeks ago we released our 2nd digital edition in which we featured an amazing and well put together styled shoot featuring African inspiration with a vintage touch. Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium, an award winning pastry studio out of the UK, was inspired by recent runway shows of major labels including Burberry, Marc Jacobs, and Michael Kors, whose collections were praised for the incorporation of ethnic and African-inspired prints and accessories. According to Elizabeth, “This shoot is a contemporary interpretation of Africa’s diverse and unique cultural heritage and an homage to the modern day African princess.” To that we say, well-done! Enjoy this unique interpretation of Afri-vintage, with styling by Seyi of Cedar Events, gowns from Kosibah, cakes custom made by Elizabeth Solaru, and photography by FO Photography.
