Dominican Republic Destination Wedding: Emily + Andy

Emily Joyner, a teacher and Andy Luc, a Management Consultant had quite the bash as the lovely couple took to the breathtaking destination of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to exchange vows in front of their loved ones and revel in their union. The newlyweds said, “I do” along the clear blue shore on August 16, 2014 and had the time of their lives celebrating at the Hard Rock after a beautiful intimate proposal.

I went to pick up Andy from the airport as he was flying into Miami for Thanksgiving. He had a couple of flight delays and arrived pretty late that night. I was frustrated and ready to go to his parents place but he wanted to stop at a friend’s place first. I was aggravated and really not interested. As we get closer to his friend’s home, he said he couldn’t remember the address and asked to pull over into our old high school. At that point, he asked me to get out of the car. He then got down on one knee, pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him in the very location that we met.

 Wedding Style

I had my two best friends fly into New York for the weekend and we went around to a ton of stores shopping for dresses. My husband went out of town that weekend to give us our time alone. It was so much fun trying on different dresses and being with my closest friends.

The best memory of the wedding was the reception. It went by so fast but all I can remember is everyone having so much fun and that there were so many smiles in the room.
