Timeless glamour? Check! Couture fashion? Got it! Gourmet food, stunning decor and live entertainment? Absolutely! Jeronica and Keith’s wedding has all of the elements of an unforgettable, opulent wedding. After a romantic proposal complete with a horse drawn carriage and dinner, Jeronica, a wedding planner by trade, dove right into planning with Katrina Gilbert of KG Weddings & Events . Jeronica knew all of the design facets that she wanted to create an ambiance that was modern, elegant, and sexy with a hint of vintage flair, but she shares, “the most challenging part of the planning process for us, was making sure we found the right vendors/people, who had the ability and expertise to bring our vision and ideas to fruition.” Everything came together in remarkable fashion! White flower arrangements, black table linens, vintage black chandeliers juxtaposed against modern white light fixtures and purple uplighting helped create a captivating modern-vintage atmosphere in their reception space. Your Endless Memories captured all of the exquisite design elements of this fashionable union.

The Proposal
We attended the same high school and both had a slight crush on one another, but we didn’t act on it at the time. Several years later we ran into one another at our hometown Blockbuster and our love story began!!
The proposal ended up being a two-day process; according to the Groom, “Timing was everything”! The night before the proposal Keith took me on a horse and carriage ride around Old City Philadelphia, we then dined at one of my favorite restaurant’s and returned home. The next morning I woke up to a ring on my finger!
Wedding Planning ?
The planning process went very smooth for us. I, the bride, am a planner by nature so I knew exactly what I wanted in all facets of my wedding; from the venue to the flowers right down to the table linens. So, the most challenging part of the planning process for us, was making sure we found the right vendors/people, who had the ability and expertise to bring our vision and ideas to fruition. We didn’t necessarily have a wedding theme, mainly just a particular look and style.
Wedding Style
Our wedding day style was modern, elegant, sexy, and glamorous with a hint of vintage! We consider ourselves to be a pretty stylish, fresh, trendy couple, so we definitely wanted the venue, and the entire wedding day itself to be a true reflection of our style and who we are. I, the bride, love any and all things glamorous, so the bling was definitely a must have! I wanted a gown that fit the mold. I wanted a gown that was somewhat fashion forward but not too fashion forward that I’d look back on my pictures 10 years from now and think, “OMG, what was I thinking?”. I’m also a style blogger over at Style & Poise (www.styleandpoise.blogspot.com), so keeping this in mind I knew my dress could not disappoint! So, the pressure was on to find a gown that was the epitome of fabulousness and style!
I must admit my search for the perfect wedding gown was a long one but still a fun process, nonetheless! I tried on at least 40-50 dresses. I embarked on the wedding gown search alone. I didn’t want to be influenced by others opinions and I wanted to make sure the dress I ultimately chose was exactly what I wanted. Once I narrowed my dress choices down to my top three, I brought along two of my bridesmaids, my mother and my brother (for a male’s opinion) to assist with making the final decision. I knew my dress was the one because I didn’t want to take it off. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and even dreamed about it.
Wedding Advice
The designer of my dress is Vera Wang and I purchased it from Exquisite Bride located in Millburn,NJ. If I had to give any style advice to bride’s it would be go with what makes you completely happy and what you feel gorgeous in. Try not to allow others to have a bigger opinion than your own. It’s your once in a lifetime moment and you do not want to look back on your pictures and have dress regret. Take your time to truly think about what you want and what type of dress you envision yourself in. Also, I would suggest being open to trying on dresses that may not look so appealing on the hanger because it may look totally different once you put it on…you’d be surprised!
Incorporation of Culture
Although, my husband is from Ghana. We kept our wedding pretty traditional. The most cultural aspect of our wedding was the African-American tradition of jumping the broom.
Most Memorable Moment
We would definitely have to say that one of the most memorable moments of our wedding day was having, R&B singer, Raheem Devaughn serenade us! He was so amazing and it was in that moment that we both got lost and really connected…
Loving You Is Easy
Tell us one thing he loves most about you… My intangibles.
Tell us one thing you love most about him… His loving heart and willingness to ALWAYS help those in need. He has such a true genuine spirit and it’s rare to find people like that.
