Krystina and Julius met while he was visiting her church. Within this first encounter they did not speak to each other but they definitely noticed each other! Since that Sunday Julius began to visit the church consistently until one Sunday he did not show up. Krystina's mom grew concerned so she had Krystina find him on Facebook and message him. This single message led to a series of daily messages back and forth. Finally Julius asked Krystina for her number! By the end of that year Krystina and Julius were dating. "At that time I did not know it, but our relationship was definitely ordained by God", explains Krystina.

Jelani wrote of the couple, "We love Julius, Krystina and Krystina's hair! Seriously! #BigHairDontCare! This sweet love story began the moment Julius walked into Krystina's church in 2009. Neither of them imagined that first look would lead to finding the love of their lives. Although the journey was not always easy for the two, their faith, family and love has seen them though their toughest moments and led up to the night Julius asked Krystina to be his wife. The countdown to their May wedding begins now!"
What did you do on your first date?
For our first date we went to the movies and afterwards grabbed a quick dinner and talked.
How did he propose?
Julius proposed to me on my birthday. He and my sisters planned me a birthday gathering at my sisters house, which in my mind I thought I had put it together. My nephews, niece, and little cousin told me they had a surprise. I was told to stand in front of a tv and watch a video they put together. The video consisted on each of them writing on a poster what love was to them. I thought it was the sweetest thing and continued to watch even after I was told that Love was standing behind me. After watching it a second time, when it came to that part I turned around and they were standing in a line with the question, Krystina, Will You Marry Me!. I immediately started crying, and Julius came over dropped to his knee and asked me again. Of course I said Yes!!! That was the best birthday present ever.
How has wedding planning been so far?
Planning our wedding has been both fun and tiring. I have had help from my family and friends who have been very supportive of my ideas. They made planning the wedding less stressful. We have got a lot done and only have a little left to do.
Tell us what you're looking forward to most on the wedding day.
We are looking forward to being able to say our vows in front of our friends and family and finally become husband and wife.
