“My fiance (then boyfriend ) and I both share a love for traveling and seeing the world, one day we decided that it would be fun if we each created a “bucket” list of places that we MUST visit before we leave the earth, and then share it with each other. His number one place was Prague and my mine was Thailand. (I made a mental note of his, because I knew I wanted to do something special for him sometime in the near future).

During Valentines week in February 2010 I decided to surprise him with a trip to his number one place. We flew out from NYC to Prague on valentines day 2010. He was deeply moved.
The morning after we arrived he asked “How do you want to spend our first day in Prague?”, and I replied “browsing antique shops”, we set out to roam the shops and it wasn’t long before a beautiful antique diamond ring caught my eye and all day long I kept raving about how beautiful the ring was, I even said “babe if you’re ever gonna get me a ring I want one just like this”, he smiled and said, “remember you said that”… I thought nothing of his comment.

Later that night he told me that he had made reservations for us to have dinner at Saint Klara, one of Prague’s most exclusive and highly recommended restaurants with excellent food and a very romantic ambiance, needless to say I was excited. When we arrived it was an added bonus to see that we had the entire restaurant to OURSELVES. After our butler/waiter seated us, my fiance looked into my eyes, told me I was the great love of his life and asked me to spend my life with him, my heart skipped a beat, maybe two beats, and when he opened the ring box I was literally breathless, the ring was simply PERFECT… it was even more gorgeous than the one at the antique store that I had been raving about earlier that same day, (it turned out that he had been carrying around my engagement ring in his pocket the entire time I was raving in the antique shop ), of course I said “Yes”.  Now our June 2012 wedding is rapidly approaching, and we’ve decided it would be a wonderful idea to visit the number one place from my bucket list for our honeymoon
