Tamisha and Sidney’s love story began while both were in the military, stationed in San Antonio, Texas. While visiting the barracks with her son Aaron, a toddler at the time, Tamisha noticed him running directly towards Sidney, who began playing with him. Sidney soon introduced himself and from that moment on they began to get to know each other. It wouldn’t be long before a first date of dinner and dancing would set their hearts in motion, guiding them along the path to happily ever after…

How did you meet? The couple met while in the military, stationed in San Antonio, Texas. Tamisha and her son Aaron were visiting the barracks with friends. Sidney was walking around the building when he happened to notice Aaron, then a toddler, running in his direction. Tamisha’s friends volunteered to keep an eye on the boy. Tamisha noticed her son playing with a stranger. When her friends assured her that he was not a stranger, he spoke to her. Greeting her calmly, seemingly unaffected by her obvious discomfort, he introduced himself. Her son tugged on Sidney’s hand to continue playing . Tamisha was apprehensive at first but after some encouragement from her friends she allowed her son to play with him.
Tell us your proposal story. The couple was visiting Sidney’s family in North Carolina for thanksgiving in 2017. Unbeknownst to Tamisha, Sidney’’s father and brother-in-love, knew the proposal was coming. Just after dinner, as the family was gathered in the living room, Sidney receives the ring from Aaron (Tamisha’s Son). Suddenly, Sidney grabs Tamisha by the hand and leads her into the living area in front of his family. He drops to one knee and proposes.
