1. Recreate a Special Date
Is there a date night that stands out among the rest? Recreate that appetizer, entree, or dessert and set the stage at home. Or was it the ambiance that you remember that night? Head to Home Goods and get ready to set the stage. Whatever it is outwardly that you remember about that special night, bring that moment alive in an intimate location and prepare to make even more beautiful memories.
2. Host a Movie Night for Your Spouse & Their Closest Friends
Invite your husband or wife’s close friends over for dinner and a movie and cater to them for this special evening. To take it up a notch, create a theme for the night and incorporate the decor, food, wardrobe, and movie(s) into the theme. If space permits, consider hosting the dinner outside and possibly even broadcasting the movie outside by perhaps renting a projector… Or keep it indoors and break out peculiar chairs and seating that guests can choose to sit in once the movie is over for a trivia session based on the film afterwards.
3. Make a Playlist
From the songs that the two of you love and that song on Grey’s Anatomy that made you cry to today’s hit love songs and indies, create that Spotify playlist and send it to your beau or if you can, load it onto their iTunes so it’s right there when they open the app. Nothing says I love you like a great love song.

4. Plan A Surprise Getaway For Your Spouse & Yourself OR Your Spouse & Their BFF
Even if the getaway is right in your backyard, plan a romantic weekend where the two of you can get away from it all. If there are children present, hire a babysitter as well as that everything is squared away. Or. Has your spouse not seen their best friend in some time that they always talk to and always about wanting to see? Create a getaway night or weekend for them and surprise your spouse with the arrival of their sister or brother from another. Just wait to see the smile on their face. You’ll never forget it.
5. Create a DIY Gift
Whether simple or complex, there are a number of creative gifts to create from the heart. Whether creating a message in the bottle or collecting your favorite photos of the two of you to make a collage throw blanket, whatever you do, it will have come from the heart and taken time and effort which your spouse will appreciate. So head on over to Pinterest to discover the DIY project that best suits your personality to create that your partner will absolutely love.
6. Take an Entire Day To Dedicate To Your Spouse
Start a tradition, picking one day special to the two of you to make the day all about your spouse. On this day, you’ll do whatever your spouse wants to do, all day long. Not a fan of sports? You’ll paint yourself up and go to a game today. Not into the same music? You’ll brave a concert of their music for the one you love. Have you heard your spouse mention they want to learn another language? Sign the pair of you up for a one time introductory class. Don’t consider yourself a gamer? Today, you’ll learn. Not sure why your spouse collects Funko Pop collectibles? Call Game Stop ahead of time and have some collectibles already picked out and paid for to surprise your spouse when you get to the store. This day is all about being open minded and consuming everything your spouse loves more than you typically would. Go all out.

7. Take On An Extra Chore – A Different Chore Everyday of the Week for a Week
Do the laundry, clean the kitchen, clean up after a pet, go grocery shopping, clean the car inside and out. For the entire week of Random Acts of Kindness Week, choose a different chore each day that is a chore you don’t normally do and take the load off of your spouse.
8. Create A Care Package of Sweet Treats
Plan ahead and create a care package for your spouse of all of their favorite goodies to snack on for the week or take it a step further and prepare mini snack packs with different snacks each day for a week. Take it a step further and buy a different decadent treat for each day of the week. Place it in your spouse’s bag or car when they’re not looking and leave your mark…

9. Be Creative With Your Love Notes
Leave love notes where you know your spouse will find them. In their pocket, purse or briefcase. In the car. Leave a love note on the fridge, counter, or their bedside after your spouse leaves for work if they come home before you. Mail a love note to your spouse to the house. Get creative with the love notes with different stationery, accents, calligraphy, quotes and bible verses, etc… Include not only their favorite kind of flowers but also a signed copy or first edition of their favorite book or tickets to a Broadway (touring) show for instance.
If you wrote your vows, present them in an entirely new way. Create a book of your vows and leave space to add a new line for every year of marriage. Or create a collage of your vows and separate the pieces, giving them to your spouse’s parents, grandparents, siblings, etc… making a scavenger hunt for your spouse.
10. Christmas in July
For an entire month, pay attention to all of the things that your spouse says they want and the following month, present them with a gift basket of all of the things you were able to get for them. Talk about a surprise!
