Consumers are demanding more eco-friendly beauty products and people of color are leading the way using their purchasing power, estimated to be $1.5 Trillion by 2023, and voices to advocate for more vegan and plant-based beauty companies.
In 2020, the global pandemic caused skincare and makeup routines to be thoughtfully reassessed. With that reassessment, the search for more natural and inclusive beauty products led to skyrocketing sales of products with naturally sourced and plant-based ingredients. The vegan cosmetics market is estimated to be worth $20.8 billion by 2025. Brands are looking towards the future as consumers say no to dangerous toxins and extremely cruel practices in animal testing.
