Touches of romance and charm were the perfect accents to this simple but exquisite industrial styled shoot. The integrity of the rustic theme was apparent by the various items that were actually repurposed. The table letters and cake table were made from old reader board and factory wheel cart. Unconventional elements such as the light bulb fixtures, bold stripes, and the pop of orange, made this your not so average “rustic” decor. Romantic elements were subtle in the burgundy flowers of the bride’s bouquet, the melted overflow of chocolate on the delightful tiered cheesecake, and the overall atmostphere of the historic Ponzi Vineyards in Oregon.
Although this particular decor would not normally be found together but the styled team did a great job by seamlessly flowing them all together!
Location: Ponzi Vineyards of Sherwood, Oregon
Event Description
From Christa-Taylor: “Mid-Century Modern meets Industrial in this romantic vineyard wedding shoot crafted by local Portland vendors. Portland brides are all about repurposing the odd and old into something new and glamorous, so we capitalized on that concept as we brainstormed for this shoot. With Fall right around the corner, including the warm copper tones was a must, while keeping it fresh with bold modern stripes and mod furniture. We carried that theme throughout the shoot, from the paper-goods to the bouquet wrapped in black leather.
The Table “letters” were salvaged from an old reader board and the Edison bulb favors are a unique touch from Schoolhouse Electric, nodding to that industrial trend. Our cake table was a factory wheel cart, back-set by the modern walls of Ponzi’s newest location.
The light was magical as the couple headed outside, wrapping around the brides Serephine veil and Cassandra Couture gown in the grape rows.
Overall, we really feel this shoot encapsulated a new progression away from the “rustic charm” of the typical vineyard wedding, instilling new life and fresh inspiration to brides who love the romance of the vineyard without the burlap.”
