Whether you consider yourself a person of nature or not, no one can resist visiting a farmhouse, filled with fresh fruits and legumes or scattered with some of the land’s most beautiful animals. Perhaps your engagement session or reception will take place outside? Whether or not you arrive around harvest season, nature will never disappoint.
This shoot was done at a 1886 Victorian Farmhouse in Mt. Airy, Maryland and seamlessly shows how to transition from a casual to elegantly classic look for engagement sessions that embrace the outdoors, no matter what the season.
The best part about embracing nature that whether spring, summer, winter, or fall, you can find picturesque ground somewhere close by. A spring or summer picnic would be the perfect theme for a couple’s engagement session to represent their love for food and the simple things in lie. A fall or winter e-session or reception could set the perfect tone for animal lovers. Finding a way to incorporate what’s important to you in your engagement session and/or wedding is quite fun once you know where you want to go. Anything is possible outdoors. So be sure to take an afternoon walk in the park to find your inspiration.
Matoli of Matoli Keely Photography says, “It is often said that the connection between two friends is the best foundation for a relationship. This is the case with (models) Nerissa & Rich, who have been friends since high school. There is just something about the way they look at each other, the smile he has when she giggles, and the incredible ease they have while in each other’s arms. It is no doubt that these two have something magical between them.”
Don’t be afraid to get dressed up for the outdoors. Once you find the right pumps that can handle a not so smooth avenue, you’ll be the belle of the ball who decided to take it up a notch and take it outside. A beautiful way to blend the classic and elegant with a hint of risk taking, making for one unforgettable day all around.
