Crystal, a hairstylist and Kendrick, a banker have saved the date for a May 1, 2016 wedding. Crystal twirled in her ice blue tulle skirt along The Arts District in Downtown Dallas, Texas as she and her husband to be took a peaceful stroll, basking in their recent engagement and upcoming nuptials. After meeting at church, this God fearing couple is excited to spring into exchanging vows, having many family and friends by their side to witness their covenant in Christ.
Tell us about how you met and all about the proposal!
We met at church and he did a surprise proposal, involving the children (we’re a blended family). I love, love, loved it!
The engagement session…
Our wedding theme is “An Anchor of Love.” I’d like to credit our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for allowing us to cross paths and fall in love….I owe it all to God because I prayed for the perfect mate for me. And of course my amazingly talented and adorable wedding planner, LaKisha Wells of Renee’s Eventi and the amazing Amber Knowles for capturing the love, laughter, and sincere joy we share.
What did you do on your first date?
We went to dinner and the movies. I was super late… and I learned early on that he doesn’t like being late ha ha! He forgot my name at dinner but now he’s changing my last name! It shall never be forgotten!
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We just love spending time together.
How has wedding planning been so far?
Wedding planning has been exceptionally well! Hiring a wedding planner was the best decision ever – I’ve only had one melt down. Ha ha!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.
The thing I’m looking forward to most on our wedding day is starting a lifetime of love, the exchanging of vows and making our commitments, and receiving gifts and love that we’ll forever share with our children.
