Arion + George: {Engaged}

There are some photographers that you get submissions from and you just know the images will be gorgeous.  That is always the case with Candice and Daniel of The Beautiful Mess.  We love the husband/wife duo’s photography style and are excited to share this sweet engagement session with you.  Arion and George are the cutest couple with such a cute engagement session.  And the proposal was equally as cute!  Take a look.

FROM THE BRIDE-TO-BE:

“Our story is unique. Both of our friends invited us to a get-together that one of their friends was having. I had planned on going but I was tired so I almost didn’t go. By the time I arrived, there was limited seating and I looked around for a place to enjoy my food. I saw there was an opening on the couch, next to an attractive guy so I asked him if I could sit. Like a true gentleman, he welcomed me to sit down and we began to chat. We’ve been talking ever since. :)

As far as the proposal goes, we took a trip to his hometown of Chicago, where my mother and best friend were also in town to visit me. He left me with them and upon his return, he told me he wanted to stop somewhere for a moment and asked me to come with him. When we arrived at that location, we found his best friend and his wife waiting for us. His best friend handed me an iPad and told me to look at it. On there was a video, featuring a gallery of portraits of George and I. At the end of the video, there was a picture of a candy heart with the words MARRY ME on it. As I turned around, George was on one knee, with the ring extended, telling me how much he loved me and then asked me if I would be his wife.”

THE THEME:

“We have a movie theme for our wedding so we wanted an urban yet chic look to coincide with that. We’re not a run through the fields type of couple and wanted to show our trendy sides. The biggest obstacles that occurred in trying to achieve this were:  We live 6 hours away, George had recently come down with a bout with bronchitis, and neither one of us was familiar with Charlotte.  However, the photos turned out magnificent and captured everything we were looking for.”

She loves…”Those dimples. They make me light up every time I see them.”

“He tells me he loves my smile but honestly, I think he loves my intensity. As he always likes to joke, I am my mother’s daughter, as she is never shy to speak her mind and neither am I.”
