A soulmate is the reflection of oneself within another; the core of who you are, all of which embodies you, found within the heart of another. They are your best friend, your love, and support. You define the concept of “home” with their presence, that no matter where you are, as long as they are there you are home. It is this connection that joins Mia and Antonio together as husband and wife, and perhaps even a higher power that brought them together…

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Antonio and I met through mutual friends and he asked me out a few times. After finding out he and my cousin worked together I finally felt comfortable with going out with him after my cousin said he was a good guy! After a short period of dating we starting talking about marriage. I remember one day he said how long do you think people need to date before getting engaged, I responded with “you know when its right and I feel your right, if you asked I’d say yes….” A few weeks after that we were in a store looking at rings and right there in the store as I was saying how I loved this ring and thought he was standing behind me, the look on the clerks face clued me in that something was going on. When I turned around he was on his knee and asked me to marry him…. I was really shocked and happy and of course I said “Yes!”
What was wedding shopping like for you? I went to New Orleans for Katrina Ten with 4 off my best friends and I found the perfect beaded dress and a bridal shop called Pearl’s Place. They shipped everything to me and my dress was just beautiful.
