Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. A Facebook request in January of 2012 sparked a friendship that would last forever and an unconditional love that would grow between the two. Social media brought Chavez and I together and we have spoken everyday since. Literally.
After about five years of dating Chavez decided to propose. I was completely caught off guard. At the time Chavez had recently tore his achilles tendon with his leg in a cast. I was told by my best friends that a modeling agent wanted to meet me, but before we went to meet the agent, we had to make a pit stop at my parent’s house to pick up my best friend. I unlocked the door, turned the corner and there he was…on one knee surrounded by rose petals and candles. Soft music played in the background. I was so in shock I had not even noticed the crowd of family and friends gathered in the background. I was zeroed in on Chavez, my boyfriend, now fiance, soon to be husband, down on one knee with his leg in a cast. The love of my life. A love so selfless, so pure.
Describe your engagement session. Our shoot did not really have a theme. I just wanted a romantic classy look!
What did you do for your first date? Funny, our first date was at Ihop. At the time I was obsessed with Ihop!
Favorite Thing to do as a Couple? Eat! My fiance and I love to try different restaurants.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been quite the experience so far. From budget to different opinions. Everything can become overwhelming, however as we get closer to getting married I am more confident. If my budget doesn’t allow for something that I want but do not need then I can do without. And as for opinions, I can do without all outside opinions on OUR wedding.
Tell us what your looking forward to most on the wedding day. I am most looking forward to the ceremony. God’s presence will definitely be felt as my fiance and I become one! The emotion I will feel that day is unfathomable!
