Ashley and Jimmie’s love story began in 2006 at a Top Teens of America event, where they quickly became best friends. After almost ten years of friendship they decided to take their relationship to the next level. The official first date being a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at a Steakhouse in Texas.
Their engagement session was a combination of studio and park settings.
Ashley and Jimmie will be joined as husband and wife in Houston, Texas and look forward to “the venue design and walking down the aisle.”

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met in 2006, Beaumont, Tx at a Top Teens of America event that we were both members of. Ever since 2006 we’ve been best friends, however Jimmie expected more. Later, in 2015 we decided to give it a try on the romantic level.
The proposal was on my birthday this year, July 5, 2017 at Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse in the Houston Galleria area. Towards the end of the night, the waiter staff brought the “birthday dessert” that read “Ashley, will you marry me?”.
Describe your engagement session. Our engagement session started at Julian’s studio with our choice of music. We started with our “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” theme session first. Later we went to Deussen Park where there is a lot of trees. We finished back at the studio with our casual look.
What did you do on your first date? Hmm…because we’ve been friends for so long there isn’t an official first date, as we would go out casually for drinks and food. However, our first date when we made it official was on Valentine’s Day at Killen Steakhouse in Pearland, Tx.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We still do the same thing we’ve been doing, going out for drinks and food when Jimmie isn’t working.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning was very overwhelming and stressful, until I found my wonderful wedding planner, Darrell Colone with EventswithDarrell.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. On the wedding day, I’m looking forward to the venue design and walking down the aisle.
