Grey’s Anatomy Star Jesse Williams Is Wed to His Longtime Girlfriend Aryn Drake-Lee

Many viewers grinned in excitement when grey-eyed actor, Jesse Williams, became a series regular on Shonda Rhimes’ hit show, Grey’s Anatomy, in his role as Dr. Jackson Avery. Now, it’s his turn to whoop in excitement: Jesse Williams is married! On the evening of Saturday, September 1, 2012, the former middle school and high school teacher wed the love of his life, longtime girlfriend Aryn Drake-Lee, in an intimate ceremony in front of close friends and family in Los Angeles. Drake-Lee is a real estate broker.

According to People, “”Jesse was beaming with joy throughout the entire ceremony,” said a guest at the wedding. “It was the perfect night with lots of smiling, laughing and emotion. You could feel the love they have for each other. They’re madly in love!“” The “madly in love” couple have been together for over 5 years and met in New York when Williams was still a teacher.

In a 2010 interview with USA Today, he stated, “”I was a teacher when I met her, so she’s been with me through all different facets of my career. She’s stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin … We know each other in and out, and she was very happy to move out here. She loves California and was tired of the weather on the East Coast.”
