Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Natasha and Georges’ love story began during the Spring semester of freshmen year of Burlington Township High School (2001). They both shared the same Earth Science class, and it was during that class that Natasha caught Georges’ eye. They continued to date throughout high school and college. After graduating from college, they mutually parted ways. But Georges always thought about Natasha, regardless of who he was with. After a 5-year hiatus, he picked up the phone one day while he was in NYC and gave Natasha a call. They reconnected in 2014, and it was then that they fell in love all over again.
Georges knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Natasha and that he wanted to make the proposal special and memorable. For weeks he thought of ideas that incorporated all the things Natasha loved. He wanted it to be intimate, romantic and special. Georges knew that Natasha’s love of flowers had to be the focal point of the proposal. He also wanted to include dessert, a passion the two shared. He looked through social media and found a fabulous event planner that brought his vision to life. After returning from a business trip Georges surprised Natasha with a romantic dinner at a steakhouse in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Natasha’s home was secretly being transformed into a room full of roses and votive candles. There was also an assortment of cakes and champagne for the couple to later celebrate. When Georges and Natasha arrived to her home at the end of dinner, Natasha was greeted by a trail of red rose petals leading to the romantic scene with a sign that said, “Marry Me.” It was then that Georges bent down on his knee and asked Natasha to marry him. A great photographer was there to capture the entire moment. Georges and Natasha were shortly joined by their families to celebrate the rest of the evening.
Describe your engagement session. Georges and Natasha wanted their engagement session to be elegant, unique and fun. It took place in an art studio in Hoboken, New Jersey, which would allow for creativity and sophistication. They also wanted to incorporate an aspect of their love story by using a portrait from their Senior prom in high school, in which they arrived as dates.
What did you do on your first date? Georges and Natasha went on their first date at the age of 15. They went to the movie theater to see the movie, “Heartbreakers.”
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Spending the rest of our lives together as husband and wife!
