Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met at the Fontainebleau during a conference on 8/5/14. For the proposal, he made it seem like a surprise party for himself with our family members, I was absolutely fooled!
How did you know they were “the one”? We went on a trip to Orlando and completely fell in love. Now we try to travel everywhere, Barbados, South Africa, and Cancun!
What was wedding shopping like for you? I purchased my dress at Pantora Bridal in New York. I found the dress after my 5th try!
Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding? Tasting of Four Elements ceremony, adapted from the Yoruba tradition, it is said to represent the promise to love your partner “for better or worse, for richer or poor, in sickness and health.” Vinegar, lemon, cayenne pepper, and honey are traditional choices used to represent the bitter, sour, hot, and, of course, sweet parts of life and a new marriage.
