Terri and Lewis first crossed paths attending a back to school house party at the beginning of junior year at Auburn University. “There were no sparks” the first time they met – introduced by mutual friends – Terri recalls, “in fact, neither of us remembers much about our interaction…” It wouldn’t be until a couple weeks later when they realized they were next door neighbors that their love story truly began. Being the boy and girl next door, they soon became friends and before long that friendship blossomed into love – dating for the next five years before Lewis decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level.
Bride & Groom: Terri & Lewis Chapman

Wedding Date: October 13th 2018

On May 28th, while dining with family and friends at a popular modern Mexican restaurant, Lewis asked Terri to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. In Terri’s words, “my best friend poured his heart out to me…and of course, I said yes!” Completely surprised and being surrounded by their loved ones, it is a moment they will both cherish for the rest of their lives.
Their Great Gatsby inspired wedding took place during their favorite month of October. Terri was stunning in a classic elegance gown with vintage flair, Badgley Mischka shoes, a Heidi Elnora veil, and her mother’s diamond bracelet. Lewis was dapper in a hunter green suit jacket custom designed by Ellis ESQ. Within a beautiful setting in Birmingham, Alabama, with the love and support of their family and friends, Terr and Lewis met at the altar – joining forever together as husband and wife.
Best Memories: We’ve heard so much positive feedback about everything from the cake being gorgeous and delicious, to the lighting and music being perfect for setting the mood. We had a “sip and be seated” station with champagne during the cocktail hour. My guests have been raving about this item! Many of my guests have talked about how beautiful the floral arrangements were. I think I’ve heard the most feedback on the cake display. Our cake was designed to look as if it was floating and it was nothing short of magical!
Advice for Engaged Couples: Choose the items you absolutely can’t live without (for me it was floral) and go all out if possible!
