Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met for the first time through a mutual friend, we spoke for almost a year and had seen each other quite a few times. The proposal was 100% a surprise, and I wanted something unique out of African culture so I went ahead with the help of my wife’s best friend. A big crew came from Paris, France to West Palm Beach. I booked a helicopter tour and when we landed I got on one knee and proposed.
How did you know they were “the one”? Each time was magical, it felt like home each time I was with her, and right away I knew she was the one.
Describe your wedding attire. My wedding dress was designed by a very close friend of mine and made by a designer in Saudi Arabia. My husband was wearing a Sherwani; wedding attire of India.
What was wedding shopping like for you? Not too stressful, I had help from my closest friend and mother.
Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding? Our main theme was Indian culture, but we did incorporate some of our African cultures as well.
Favorite item on the menu: Sushi
First dance song: “Tu es ma Vision” (You are my vision)
What is your best memory from your wedding? The best memory is seeing her walk down the aisle.
What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples? Marriage isn’t about hunting for a good partner, but it is to seek God first. He will shape and mold you in the way that your spouse will be the best fit of your life. So wait until you find your good fit.
