“Leading up to the day, we are both looking forward to making it official,” Tyniqua and Robert reflect on their upcoming wedding.
Having first met in Atlanta, Georgia, their love has continued to grow into the foundation of trust and support it is today. When the perfect opportunity to propose presented itself, Robert asked Tyniqua to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife in a surprise museum celebration under the guise of a birthday party. The bride & groom-to-be will be married in a private ceremony in Atlanta. Read all about their wedding details below.

Bride & Groom-to-be: Tyniqua & Robert
Wedding Location: Atlanta, GA
Location of Engagement shoot: Preston Gardens; Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Baltimore, Maryland
Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Rob: “We actually met in Atlanta, GA coincidentally as we both were out of town for work.”
Tyniqua: “The day of my proposal, Rob told me that he was planning an event for his mother’s birthday. So, I escorted his mother into what I thought was her party at the museum. To my surprise, the event was for our proposal. A room filled with our family and friends.”
The engagement session. We decided we wanted to do something that was grand, something that hardly any couples do—we wanted a night time shoot with white and concrete pillars.
What did you do on your first date? We were initially supposed to be going to Mary Macs in Atlanta but ended up going to Cheesecake Factory because we arrived too late.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Because Rob and I are socialites, we usually like to host and cook big dinners. Every moment with family is essential, and thankfully our families blended together perfectly!
How has wedding planning been so far? So about that…we actually decided to have a private ceremony a few months after the proposal!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Leading up to the day, we are both looking forward to making it official, period.
