Sarah and Marc’s love came naturally. Sarah shares, “We just knew! Everything just fell into place when it came to our relationship.”
They were childhood friends who kept in touch over the years. When they finally declared their love for each other as adults, things moved quickly. After just three months of dating, they knew they were going to get married.
A tragic event inspired them to pick a memorable wedding date. Sarah reflects, “After my father’s passing on 12/11/2019, we decided to commemorate him by getting married on his birthday.” They planned and executed their wedding to perfection in only two months.
Their closest family and friends watched as they exchanged vows in a charming historic brownstone in Brooklyn, NY. It was an intimate and sweet wedding. Literally, sweet, as guests munched on delicious cake and doughnuts after the ceremony.

How They Met
We were childhood friends and grew up on the same block, four houses away from each other.
The Proposal
After about three months of dating, we knew that we were going to get married. After my father’s passing on 12/11/2019, we decided to commemorate him by getting married on his birthday.
How did you know they were “the one”?
We just knew! Everything just fell into place when it came to our relationship.
Wedding Style
Bride: Romantic/vintage cap sleeve mermaid style hand-beaded dress.
Groom: Modern navy blue suit with a dusty rose tie and pocket square.
What was wedding shopping like for you?
Stressful, I had to plan a wedding in 2 months!
Incorporation of Culture
We incorporated a braiding ceremony. We braided three cords together, which represented the bride, groom, and God. It was a reminder for us always to keep God at the center of our marriage. That way our bond will never unravel, but remain firm and steadfast
Best Wedding Memory
When the pastor kept pronouncing my husband’s last name wrong. LOL It got to the point where I just had to correct him.
