Love can’t be cancelled. Here’s some chic inspiration for your elopement or intimate wedding.
With COVID-19 restrictions mandating for couples to postpone or cancel their weddings altogether, we’ve seen an increase in intimate wedding celebrations and a rise in elopements with the intention to celebrate in a larger way on the wedding anniversary the following year. If you’re looking for a unique way to elope, this desert-themed elopement is sure to provide you with plenty of ideas.
Although this inspiration shoot took place in Morocco, you can still create the same experience right here in the United States. Enjoy these gorgeous photos by Brittany Boote and also check out the feature in our Fall/Winter 2019 Issue here.
From the Photographer:
The Sahara is absolutely one of the most surreal & captivating places in the entire world. The beauty of the setting sun in the desert is hypnotizing. You immediately become totally consumed by joy, awe, and gratitude. It was a 13-hour drive across the country of Morocco, passing through the merging and fast-growing African towns. The road trip may have been my favorite part of this journey. The feeling we had when we finally saw the desert begin was just unreal. I had learned so much not only about this beautiful part of the world, but about the people in it. To have the opportunity to create, document love and learn in this environment was a total dream come true. Morocco also has the best food I have ever had anywhere in the world. We stayed at Kam Kam Dunes in Merzouga. The Kam Kam dunes camp is basically a mini luxury experience right in the middle of desert. If you have any interest in exploring this country, camping here is the absolute way to do it. Mae & Co Creative designed this gorgeous and fitting table scape, along with the decor dancing in the wind. Brier + Ivy had the perfect touch with these dried florals for a bouquet.
