There were quite a few dresses with jacquard fabrics and floral patterns. I ran into both of these designers at the Pier. Some of the most creative I’ve seen.

Stunning and elegant gown … but not what I’d call bridal. Personally, I prefer more modest styling in bridal gowns. Who the heck are you trying to impress or turn on? If the answer is your “husband”, you do that in the privacy of your room. If it’s the other men at the wedding, then WHY are you getting married?

My comments were for the following gowns:
Inez de Santo (photo #32, I think) – definitely stunning and elegant; Angel Sanchez (#33), and all the other strapless gowns. Also, who in their right mind wants their hips accented as in Rafael Cennamo’s gown (#5). And this is one of the few times Oscar de la Renta’s taste was all in his mouth! His gown is totally unflattering to that model in particular.
Why are designers so intent on forcing brides to wear strapless gowns anyway? It is most unfortunate that most of the brides who choose them are much too heavy to look good in them and usually bulge over the top. Or they want form-fitting gowns that look horrible for their size from bust to hips.
Brides nowadays need their gowns designed for them individually, and without the input of all parents, in-laws, siblings and bridal party members. They need the advice of an impartial person who KNOWS how to ENHANCE a bride’s appearance, and encourage her to do the same. TAKE SOME PRIDE IN YOURSELF, LADIES!!! This is your WEDDING DAY, not your last fling, or your last chance to make the males salivate and require a larger size of pants.

Oh, and Narchesa’ looks like the bride grabbed her satin sheets as she got out of bed and they got caught at her waist. Really!?!
