Fab Winter Minimony in New York City

Lauren and Kelly’s winter minimony in New York City was super classy and chic.

In the past year, engaged couples have had to narrow in on what is most important to them for their big day. Although Lauren and Kelly postponed their spring 2021 wedding, they didn’t change their plans to make it official. In January they held a beautiful minimony at the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport in New York with their mothers in attendance.

While Covid may have changed our plans to celebrate, it has not changed the plans we have made for our lives and future together. We decided to have a beautiful, intimate ceremony in the presence of our Mothers… The 60’s inspired hotel and Eero Saarinen landmark provided us with a picturesque environment and captured our wanderlust for travel.

How did you meet?

We met in Brooklyn at a summer Crawfish Boil. Lauren was the first to say hello :)

Kelly proposed on vacation while visiting his parents homeland of Haiti.

Wedding Style

Kelly wore a cream jacket and suspenders paired with a velvet bowtie. Lauren wore a long sleeve sequin cocktail dress by Dress the Population.

What is your best memory from your wedding?

We never expected to feel so at peace and calm during our ceremony. We are both very close with our Mothers so to have them with us, standing by our sides as our witnesses was the biggest gift!
