The juxtaposition of the debonair style of Clourth and the stylish grace and sophistication of Jennifer within the walls of Seraphim House gave their magical engagement photos its one-of-a-kind charm.
It was within the same year of meeting on the dating app Bumble that these two became engaged at Jennifer’s birthday dinner. As Clourth stated, “It was a different vibe dealing with someone who knew what they wanted out of a relationship and wasn’t trying to play games.”

How did you both meet?
We met online via the dating app “Bumble”. I had been having no luck in the “dating” world until I stumbled upon this gorgeous woman! You know someone looks good when you go and update your ENTIRE PROFILE with updated pics hoping they would notice. So I saw her profile in my potential matches and one day decided to go on a limb and swipe right and BOOM she had swiped right on me also!
Describe your first time meeting in person?
We finally met in person on my way to Lake Charles, LA for a board of supervisors meeting. I remember stopping in the Target Parking lot in Lafayette all nervous to finally meet this gorgeous woman in person. We chatted for a while and I reminded her of something she said she would do when she saw me in person, which was to give me a kiss.. just to see if she would do it. And she did! Right on the cheek haha. I knew it was a stretch but I felt like hey can’t hurt to ask, so I asked if she had ever been to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. She replied yes I have but I’m not going there with you today! We both busted out laughing as I tried to clear up the insinuation. From there we had our first actual date on Cinco De Mayo 2019 and hit it off immediately.
What did you do on your first date?
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo at a Mexican restaurant in Lafayette and listened to live music, had margaritas and lots of chips and salsa. We were having so much fun we headed over to another Mexican restaurant to keep the partying going.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to eat seafood!
How has wedding planning been so far?
Mindblowing! At times it’s honestly overwhelming, at other times it’s super exciting! Yet through it all, we are not only enjoying every moment but learning from our friend’s weddings on what we may or may not need!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day?
When they declare us as Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and say “you may now kiss the bride”. Also just having fun with our families and strolling with our Greek organizations.
