Shina and Bryant’s intimate wedding in Baltimore celebrated a renewed belief in love and marked the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in their lives.
In 2018 Shina began to lose faith in love and a bright future after going through a taxing divorce and surviving cancer. When she started online dating, there was a lack of connection with the guys she was meeting. Then Bryant came into the picture and her whole world changed.
She met Bryant and he fit within her life and her heart like a glove.

Shina didn’t hesitate in choosing the Hotel Revival in Baltimore for the venue. The word ‘revival’ resonated with her and her new outlook on life.
She said yes without seeing the space. It was the name of the hotel that spoke to her — Revival. Her wedding represented a new lease on life and a renewed belief in love.

How they met
Online.
Wedding Style
Shina booked the services of a seamstress for her wedding gown. Approximately, two weeks prior to her wedding, her seamstress ghosted her. Given the timing and the cost, Shina was in a bit of a pickle, so she actually found her wedding gown on Amazon for $50. (As a planner, I am sure I could have found a gown for her, but she wanted to solve that challenge herself.)
Wedding Theme
After experiencing a very challenging divorce and surviving, what some doctors called, an inoperable cancer, Shina lost a little faith in love and a positive future in 2018. She met several guys online but nothing elevated beyond casual. Then, she met Bryant and he fit within her life and her heart like a glove. So, when I presented the Hotel Revival as an option to her as a venue option for her micro-wedding, she said yes without seeing the space. It was the name of the hotel that spoke to her — Revival. Her wedding represented a new lease on life and a renewed belief in love. The officiant tailored the entire wedding ceremony around the theme of “revival.” Their ceremony included lighting a memory candle in honor of their parents and jumping the broom.
When we heard the word “revival,” we automatically thought of the holy spirit. So, we designed a space that showcased plenty of off-white blooms, lots of greenery, and candlelight fire throughout the room.
Favorite Memory
Gathering with family and friends after a long year apart. Shina and Bryant walked the streets of Baltimore the day after their wedding and shared any food they had from their wedding with the homeless. They also prayed with them.
