The Barn at Reynolda Village in North Carolina sets the scene for love in this minimalist garden wedding.
Jordan & Daniel’s stunning nuptials were inspired by the word “celebration” – and it truly was! Starting with an intimate ceremony in the gardens surrounded by beautiful greenery and historic architecture, they transitioned into a lively reception with a champagne tower toast to start the night off right. Dancing, delicious food, personalized bride & groom cocktails, and a champagne shower exit marked the beginning of forever for these two!
Looking back on their wedding, Jordan shares, “The moment we will never forget happened just after the ceremony. Walking down the aisle after being introduced as one for the first time and finally getting a chance to take it all in. To see the smiles from our friends and the tears of joy from our families, it was truly a special moment for the both of us.”

Inspiration…
As cliché as it may sound, the inspiration for our day was “celebration”. It was the driving force for the music, the champagne tower, and the champagne shower exit. We wanted to be sure to create our own ideas for what the perfect wedding looked like for us. So while we went with a more classic or timeless look for our wedding party, we also wanted to have a more modern but minimalistic vibe.
Wedding attire…
Daniel made sure to stick with the black and white color scheme but was still able to stand out by choosing jacket with a subtle pattern and modern bow tie. For myself, my dress choice was never what I expected to choose.
It was the first dress I tried on and after trying many different styles I ultimately couldn’t forget the first one. It was a classic yet different, with lace sleeves and a muted design going down the sides tying the pattern on the sleeves all together. An open low back, a long train, and a cathedral veil to follow were a must for me!
As for the bridesmaids, to continue along with the champagne theme it was only fitting to have champagne-colored dresses. For the groomsmen, the classic tuxedo. The goal was for the guys to look and feel like James Bond.

Florals…
As for flowers we wanted to give our florist complete creative control. We decided we wanted to keep the classic look, so went with white roses as the main focal point while our florist incorporated different shades and styles of nude flowers to really elevate the look.
With white roses “growing” out of the ground to line the aisle, highlights of orchids in each centerpiece, and a stunning two-piece arch at the altar that was later repurposed for the sweetheart table with a custom neon sign attached, the overall design and style of our florals played a huge role in our minimalist day.

Decor & DIY elements…
We quickly learned DIY was not for us! While we had a few things we created ourselves (table numbers & signage) we left everything else up to the professionals.
Our ceremony space was in the gardens of the venue with a ton of greenery, rows of flowers and historic architecture. While everything was not quite bloomed for the season yet, the natural beauty of the space was undeniable. Our florist really elevated the area with a beautiful ceremony arch and florals lining the aisle.
We decided to keep our table decor to a minimum with shades of black, white, and pops of gold which allowed the flowers to be the star of the show!
Personalized details…
We knew our guests would take full advantage of the open bar and we wanted to make sure that each of our signature drinks represented us properly. For Daniel, the classic rum and ginger. Something very simple, and easy to relate to. Named after my childhood dog, “The Big Hank,” it was a go-to cocktail for all the groomsmen.
As for me, I had my own unique spin on a Moscow mule. A mixture of tequila, ginger beer, lime juice and mint, “the main squeeze” was a big hit for all of our guests. And for our 3rd drink, something that represented what was soon to come: “The Honeymooner.” It was a mixture of vodka, pineapple juice and grenadine to celebrate our 10 day tropical vacation in the islands of the Maldives.
Our favorite parts of the day? This may be the easiest question of them all. The champagne tower, the champagne shower, and all of the dancing in between.

Wedding advice for other engaged couples…
Wedding planning can be and will be stressful. You will soon realize everything you see on social media isn’t always realistic. Here are 5 pieces of advice we would give to anyone planning a wedding:
1. Be patient and take everything one day at a time.
Your ideas and plans may change, and that’s ok. One day you might want a DJ and the next you might want a live band. You don’t have to commit to first thing you see, be patient with your decisions because it could cost you in the long run.
2. Find a budget and stick to it.
Are you paying for everything on your own, are you getting help from family and friends, or are you going to be working overtime just to make ends meet? Whatever your situation is, set a budget and try your best to stay under it.
3. Create your own ideas and not just things you see on social media.
Tik Tok and Instagram only show the final product. It’s easy to get caught up in wanting something cool or trendy you see online until you realize it may cost you an extra $5000.
4. Remember what the day is about.
It’s a celebration of love between two people. At the end of the day, if the chicken is a little dry, and the weather doesn’t turn out how you imagined, marrying the person you love is the only thing that matters. Everything won’t be perfect from start to finish, but at the end of the night, it will all come together.
5. Get a wedding planner!
We could not have done this without one. A good wedding planner can take loads of stress off your hands leading up to the wedding and most importantly the day of. Ensuring the day is planned down to the last second, making sure family and friends are where they need to be and bringing your vision to life. Our wedding planner was truly a blessing!
