Set in Toronto at the Bisha Hotel, this Noir-styled shoot is chic, modern, and simple.
Designed by Matrimony Events and captured by Rachael Sloat Photography, the shoot takes a step away from a traditional wedding and bridal look for a contemporary design. With toned-down flowers, an ivory satin-like dress, and a sleek jumpsuit for the reception, the bride is center-stage, edgy, and confident.

Concept…
This styled shoot aimed to showcase a Black bride’s desire for a modern wedding. A hotel reception, non-traditional wedding attire, and a contemporary design.
Inspiration…
The inspiration for this styled shoot was chic, modern, and simple. Taking a step away from the traditional wedding and bridal look.
Details…
We paired the liquor with pistachios, mixed nuts, and dark chocolate for the tablescape.
Stationery…
The invitation liner is a watercolor sketch of the hotel doors.
Florals…
We toned down the use of flowers and went with baby’s breath in black ceramic vases.
Attire…
The attire was a chic ivory satin-like dress and a satin-like jumpsuit for the “reception”.
Chic bar cart…
Hotel reception…
