Mo and OG’s stylish vintage-inspired engagement shoot in NOLA had the couple celebrating their upcoming nuptials at two of the city’s premiere event venues.
Leading up to their I’DO’s, the couple featured their beautifully shot video by Dexterity Productions on their wedding website (which was originally for Monifa’s birthday), but it took on an even more special meaning after OG’s proposal.
The happy couple celebrated all things black culture during their wedding celebrations this September. They chose the Race + Religious wedding venue and the Marginy Opera House as the perfect backdrops for their engagement photoshoot and wedding venue.
More from their NOLA engagement session is waiting for you in the gallery below!

Where did we meet?
On Instagram.
The first date…
We went for drinks on a NYC rooftop.
Our proposal story…
Julien surprised me by telling me we were going on a double date, meanwhile he was orchestrating a proposal at the Akwaaba Inn which is a black owned bed and breakfast, a place I have always wanted to visit. We dined at his friend’s restaurant and stayed overnight at the Akwaaba Inn.
How I knew he was the one…
I knew he was the one when I saw his patience with the kids (we blended our family) and he was a man that took accountability when we are at odds and helps create solutions to move forward.
Our engagement theme…
We wanted to highlight us! We love to dress up and we love Nola!
Favorite things we love…
Travel and we love swanky restaurants lol.
Wedding planning so far…
It has been challenging and amazing to plan our biggest event ever!
We’re looking forward to…
Being surrounded by our loved ones and introducing them to world of Black culture and how we plan to incorporate it into the celebration.
Our vendors…
