Gabbi and Stephen were first introduced through a mutual acquaintance.
For Gabbi’s birthday, Stephen planned a surprise photoshoot, but that wasn’t the only surprise in store for Gabbi. During the shoot, Stephen got down on one knee and popped the question, to which she of course replied: “Yes!”.
On January 21, 2023, Gabbi and Stephen said “I do” at their modern garden wedding, on the roof of the W Hotel. The garden ceremony was warm and romantic and full of gorgeous blooms, while the reception boasted modern details and cool silver touches.

- Gifts for bridesmaids & groomsmen: Gabbi gifted custom bracelets with their dogs (or kids’) initials, eye patches, matching pajamas, and face masks, and paid for their makeup. Stephen gifted MVMT watches, engraved toiletry bags, and notebooks.
- Gifts for one another: Gabbi gifted Stephen Cartier Cufflinks. Stephen gave Gabbi a Cartier Love necklace, about 100 roses, and a book describing all the things he loved about her from A-Z.

Stephen planned a surprise photoshoot for my birthday and proposed during the shoot.
Wedding Style…
Our wedding style was black-tie. Stephen wore a custom tuxedo (velvet jacket with burgundy trim) and I wore an ivory beaded gown with a champagne undertone.
What was the wedding shopping experience like for you?
We leaned on a lot of recommendations from our wedding planner, Teresa, who owns Simply Couture Weddings. She made it incredibly easy for us to meet with various vendors to hire together. It made our vision come to light.
What is your best memory from your wedding?
Seeing our family and friends together from both sides laughing and dancing with one another.
What is the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
Make sure to take it all in. Everyone says the day goes by so fast and it truly does, so find the time to stand on the outside and watch all who have come to celebrate you enjoying themselves. It makes all of the planning well worth it!
