Inspired by a luxury bohemian theme, this chic-styled shoot at Château Bouffémont in Paris is a gorgeous ode to Spring.
With a creative team hailing from the USA, France, Brazil, Romania, and Portugal, Lead Planner, Aurore Astor-Sims of PIEvents and Co, incorporated spring blooms inspired by a color palette of blush, salmon, and pink tones to encourage couples to create their own luscious outdoor ceremonies.
Representing a mixed-race couple, their styled shoot speaks to diverse audiences while the bride’s natural hairstyle strives to inspire Black brides to embrace their natural tresses and love themselves, always.
We did not spare any details to create the perfect bridal experience: being open to new ideas and ways of doing things, we embraced the diversity of our team. This made a truly unique and memorable event day.

Introducing Aurore Astor-Sims of PIEvents and Co…
As a French-American Destination Wedding Planner, owner, and creative director of PIEvents and Co, I usually travel between the United States and Europe at least once a year. When I contacted Alexia Privitera, the photographer, she immediately brought me a new editorial idea.
The venue…
After sharing our inspiration, we decided to set our sights on a historic castle in Paris. The Chateau Bouffemont was an obvious choice for this styled shoot as it displays romance and French architecture, le chic à la française. In particular, the Grand Stairs majestically merge past and present ambiance.
The team…
For this wonderful project, we gathered several multi-lingual professionals with different backgrounds and countries but with a common sense of fashion and aesthetics. United States, France, Italy, Brazil, Romania, and Portugal were well represented.
Makeup…
Larissa Beauty Paris, the make-up artist exquisitely enhanced her natural beauty, using refreshing color tones. Our approach was a way to show a bride-to-be to express her individuality and stand out on her wedding day.
Before reading her vows to her fiancé, Sonia posed on the romantic stairway and terrace of the chateau. With her honey hair highlights, as if it was bathed by the sun, the bride really appeared as a muse of art.
The groom-to-be…
Theme & color palette…
We wanted to celebrate Spring with themes of renewal, growth, and transformation. This includes the blooming of flowers, the emergence of leaves, and the welcoming of warmer temperatures. The color palette was inspired by the season when nature shows off its light, bright, and cheerful hues.
Decor…
The arch, to emphasize the romantic style, was interrupted so as not to hide the castle in the background. We also chose to make a gradient between white and fuchsia pink to resume the tones of the facade and also to express the royal but intimate atmosphere.
For the table, the flowers appeared as jewels exposed to animate the dinner.
Florals…
We treated the flower arrangements like a poem where each bloom was a word and each stem a line, to create a beautiful work of art. The floral inspiration was revealed through different décor elements.
We chose from an exquisite harmony of colors and textures to surprise the elegance of the castle in a contemporary spirit. The flowers, especially the peonies, and roses with greeneries, seemed to compose a ballade.
From the floral ceremony arrangement to the bohemian dress, the presence of nature was everywhere to see.
Attire…
Our bride sublimated the elegance of her bohemian ceremony dress from Top Bridal and wore a coral reception dress from Millia London. She connected with the natural world and experienced the environment in a more sensory way walking barefoot in the garden.
Sweet details…
The goal of the shoot…
We envisioned what a ceremony and a reception would be in a romantic garden castle to inspire brides to be open to an outdoor event with bright and soft colors as Spring is often associated with pastel tones.
This editorial was also a beautiful occasion to celebrate natural hair beauty. Sonia, the bride, took pride in showing her natural hair. She sported a perfect afro and curly bangs as an empowering choice reflecting a part of her identity. It was about self-love and acceptance. That day, she embodied different faces of a bride wearing two opposite wedding dress styles.
