Morin and Caron’s timeless spring engagement session features elegant style, fully bloomed cherry blossoms, and the iconic scenery of Central Park!
Morin and Caron first became acquainted while studying at the University of Delaware. They were both in the same department and knew of each other, but didn’t start dating until they reconnected in law school.
Caron surprised Morin by proposing in front of close friends at her birthday party in December of 2022. What Morin thought was a thank you speech for their guests turned into a heartfelt and sincere proposal, to which she happily said “Yes!”.
To celebrate their New York City engagement, Morin and Caron chose Central Park for the location of their modern yet timeless e-session. Morin loves gardening and the color pink, so cherry blossom season gave the couple the perfect, romantic backdrop for their shoot. They went with a neutral color palette to create a timeless and clean look.
We became engaged and celebrated our engagement in New York City, so we felt that Central Park in New York would be a beautiful backdrop with the vibrant cherry blossoms.

- Wedding date: October 28, 2023
How did you meet?
Caron and I met as undergraduates while attending the University of Delaware. We were both studying in the political science and international relations department and knew of each other. We did not date until after college after reconnecting while in law school.
Tell us all about the proposal
Caron surprised me with the proposal at my birthday dinner in December of 2022 at Sei Less in New York City. A group of our close friends were there. He stood up to make a speech to our guests which I had presumed was to thank them for attending, but it transitioned into him speaking on the impact our relationship has had on his life leading into the proposal.
Describe your engagement session
We wanted to have a modern but timeless look for our photos. Caron suggested the cherry blossom season because he knows how much I love gardening and the outdoors and that my favorite color is pink. We both love a neutral color palette and decided to go with tan, black, ivory, and white for a timeless and clean look.
What did you do on your first date?
For our first date, we went to Dave & Busters in New York City, played video games, and caught up over small talk.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Caron and I love to travel and explore new restaurants together. We enjoy catching up with friends and trying new restaurants, and both have a passion for travel and learning about other places. We also enjoy trying to recreate some of our favorite recipes at home. During the week after work, we like to wind down with a glass of our favorite wine while watching Netflix and Hulu series.
How has wedding planning been so far?
It has been pretty easygoing since we began early and hired a talented team of amazing wedding professionals. We are working with Oniki Occasions as our wedding planner who has made planning and coordination a breeze.
What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
We are really looking forward to celebrating the day with our close family and friends who have supported us over the years.
