Mallory and Austin’s contemporary polished white wedding in St. Louis inspires timeless and elegant style!
The couple first met on Bumble. For their first date, they went to brunch at Molly’s in Soulard. Four hours later, their conversation was still flowing and they both knew there was something special between them.
Over their years of dating, Mallory and Austin frequented Molly’s in Soulard to celebrate important milestones and birthdays, making it the perfect place for Austin to pop the question.
He had our families and friends hiding to surprise me after the engagement. He had me open a few gifts and then told me to close my eyes for the last gift, and I still remember my eyes being closed and hearing gasps from others on the patio…He planned it perfectly and I could not have dreamed of a better proposal.

Mallory wanted a timeless and elegant look for their wedding. Featuring all-white, soft florals, candles, and greenery, their talented vendor team brought her vision to life. Their wedding attire was perfect for a classic and polished event. Mallory wore a timeless sophisticated off-shoulder satin dress, which paired beautifully with Austins’s classic tux.
I didn’t want to look back at our decor or attire in ten years and say, “Yup, definitely a 2023 wedding”. I wanted it to be timeless.

How did you meet?
We met on Bumble and had our first date at Molly’s in Soulard for brunch. We had such a great time, our brunch ended up lasting over 4 hours. After that first date, we both knew we had found something special.
Tell us about the proposal.
Over the years, we returned to Molly’s to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, etc. So for the proposal, Austin planned a brunch date for us at Molly’s under the guise of a belated birthday brunch and secretly had our families and friends hiding to surprise me after the engagement. He had me open a few gifts and then told me to close my eyes for the last gift, and I still remember my eyes being closed and hearing gasps from others on the patio. That’s when I knew he was about to pop THE question. He planned it perfectly and I could not have dreamed of a better proposal. Molly’s is where it all began and has been a constant in our relationship. We even returned on our wedding day for photos and an informal after-party with friends and family.
Wedding Style:
Luxe and classic. My vision for the whole wedding was classic and elegant, so we carried that through for our attire as well. I didn’t want to look back at our decor or attire in ten years and say, “Yup, definitely a 2023 wedding”. I wanted it to be timeless. To me, nothing is more timeless than a classic tux, so Austin wore that to complement my dress. I chose an off-the-shoulder satin dress with a pearl beaded veil. I loved how well our looks came together.
What was the wedding shopping experience like for you?
Easy! I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted, but I found my dream dress at the very first store we went to. I still shopped around for a bit, but when I went back, I knew it was the one. It was THE perfect dress for me and I felt amazing in it.
What is the best memory from your wedding?
Austin’s favorite part of the day was holding hands and saying our vows: “Even though we were in front of 240 people, it felt like just the two of us.” My favorite part was being introduced as husband and wife and getting to turn and look at a very full room of people who love and support us. Happiest moment of the day!
What is the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s so easy to get caught up trying to make your wedding day look like what you see on social media, but at the end of the day – as long as you and your partner are married, it will have been a success! So enjoy the little moments, and don’t let yourself get too overwhelmed with small things that won’t matter.
