Gabrielle and Jordan’s opulent fall wedding exudes a warm elegance, embracing the fall season with a rich color palette and stunning florals!
Gabrielle and Jordan first met on Tinder. As they talked, they realized they had visited many of the same places around the same time, but missed each other. On their first date, they went to brunch and hit it off instantly!
We went to brunch for our first date and were there for almost 7 hours!

Jordan had planned to propose to Gabrielle during their annual apple-picking excursion, but a week before his excitement took over he decided not to wait any longer. He surprised Gabrielle with an intimate proposal in their living room, while they were pet-sitting a friend’s dog.
It was originally planned to happen at apple picking which we do annually, but the Friday before something told me, “Why wait another week?”.

Their opulent fall wedding was held at the iconic Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The rich autumnal florals, gold accents, and charming venue created a fairytale-like atmosphere. The grandeur of the celebration was accompanied by warm personal touches, such as a wing bar, coffee bar, delicious late-night snacks, and tables named after Gabrielle and Jordan’s significant travel destinations.

How did you meet?
Our moms are going to kill us, but Tinder! We met through the app and realized we had been in the same place at the same time several times but never met. We went to brunch for our first date and were there for almost 7 hours!
Tell us about the proposal.
Gabrielle: We go apple picking every fall, but I usually plan it. Jordan decided he was planning it that year so I thought maybe he was going to propose there which was initially his plan. Instead, while we were hanging out at home the week before, dog-sitting our friend’s dog, Ella, Jordan decided to go for it and proposed on our couch! It was a total surprise and perfectly intimate. Shout out our lucky charm, Ella!
Jordan: It was originally planned to happen at apple picking which we do annually, but the Friday before I had left her apartment and was home hanging out while she was dog sitting, something told me, “Why wait another week?”. Historically, I’m not great at not telling people about gifts and surprises.
Describe your wedding style.
Gabrielle: My style tends to lean classic with a unique touch and I knew I wanted something that highlighted my shape and was very clean without lace or beading but still had some drama, like a train or a crazy bow. I wanted to surprise my bridesmaids with a first look, so I only took my mom, godmother, and sister shopping with my mother-in-law on Facetime. Growing up, I was a huge Say Yes to the Dress fan, so I knew I had to start my search at Bridals by Lori in Atlanta. My dress was exactly that – it was the sixth dress I tried on and we all knew it was the one immediately. It was exactly what I was looking for. Lori even shared that it’s her favorite dress in the store.
Jordan: It was relatively simple on my end. I’m not one for much flair. I knew I wanted a classic black tux but also I wanted a jacket that was slightly different than my groomsmen’s jackets. I found just the right jacket to match the tux I own from Blacktux, a tux seller and renter I’ve used in the past.

The reception unfolded in grandeur, featuring a three-course meal, a stunning wedding cake, and a wing bar (and a coffee bar) for delightful late-night snacks. The tables, each named after destinations significant to the couple’s travels, added a personal touch to the celebration.

Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding?
It was really important to us that all our vendors were people of color. As a Black couple, we wanted to support our people on our day and for our wedding to reflect our Blackness. We asked our DJ to only play songs by or featuring artists of color and our planners, LesLo, even found an all-Black string quartet for our ceremony.
What is your best memory from your wedding?
Gabrielle: I have two. First, walking down the aisle! We didn’t do a first look because I really wanted to get a genuine reaction from Jordan and it was worth it. Second was the room reveal. LesLo and J. Madison Designs, our florist, had a vision and truly knocked it out of the park, I wanted to take it home.
Jordan: The moment when we had our private dinner alone. This was the first time we could both just sit, breathe, exchange our private vows, and hang out knowing that the event went well and we could party and enjoy the fruits of our labor.
What’s the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
Gabrielle: As a southern girl, I always try to be the consummate hostess. Someone had to remind me that we were the guests of honor at our wedding, not the hosts. It really gave me perspective on not succumbing to the pressures from guests. They’re there to celebrate you!
Jordan: Like any large event, it can be overwhelming. Break out your to-dos into bite-sized pieces. If you find yourself overwhelmed take a step back and come back to it.
The event successfully balanced timeless sophistication with the warmth and vibrancy of autumn, creating a wedding that will undoubtedly be remembered as a harmonious blend of opulence and seasonal charm.
