Brittany and Abdul’s intimate outdoor wedding anniversary shoot took place at a stunning private residence in Washington, DC to celebrate the couple’s upcoming 10 year wedding anniversary in Jamaica.
The couple’s photographer Lola Snaps captured this dynamic husband and wife team with this beautiful and relaxed outdoor shoot.
Dressed in classic formal wear, the photoshoot captured the two tucked into a quiet enclave, set against the beautifully aged gazebo and stone arched walkways which helped to make these photos a truly unique place to celebrate the ten years of shared love between them.
With every loving touch and laugh-out-loud moment, we could totally feel the warmth and connection between Abdul and Brittany as they gear up to say “I do” again in Jamaica.

When did you get married and where?
August 16, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia at the Biltmore Ballrooms.
What was your wedding like?
Very traditional, and fun. We had a time.
As you celebrate your anniversary, what do you remember most about your wedding day?
I can recall the anticipation and nervousness I felt in the days leading up to the day. I was so excited but nervous to stand in front of my family and friends and recite those vows. Walking down the aisle, I remember taking in all of the beautiful decor and the smiles. It was magical.
Was there anything you would have done differently for your wedding?
Yes, cut the guest list down significantly.
What are your favorite things to do as a couple?
We love to travel, watch horror movies, and attend live concerts.
Who cooks?
Me (Brittany).
Do you have any children or pets?
We have three children, a boy and two girls, one dog, a pit bull named Bella, and one fish named Buttercup.
When it comes to your careers, what do both of you do and how do you make time for each other?
I work full-time at a non-profit as a program coordinator. We are also land developers and real estate investors. We make time for each other by scheduling date nights and lunch dates.
What would you say are the most important elements of a successful marriage?
Keep God in it, communication, trust, and respect.
How do you keep the spark in your marriage?
Dating each other and spending quality time together.
Tell us about the shoot. What inspired it?
The shoot was an idea from our planner Therese’, she suggested we take some photos for our ten-year vow renewal which will be held on August 16, 2024, in Montego, Bay Jamaica. The shoot was so fun, and Lola managed to capture our love 10 years later.
What do you love most about one another?
I love Abdul’s smile and his positive attitude.
What advice can you give to other newlyweds?
- Marriage does not come with a manual, but it is a partnership, and working together, compromising, and being honest will accomplish more long-term
- Accept your spouse for who they are (yes, we change over the years as we get older) but you have to be okay with accepting that your partner may leave his socks on the floor by the bed forever lol.
- Prioritize time together away from the kids.
