Blending romantic decor, lush jewel-toned florals, and royalty-inspired fashion, every detail of Charniq and Quintavious’ glam winter wedding beautifully reflected them and their enduring love.
Charniq and Quintavious first met while visiting Albany State University as high school students in an early college program. Neither of them ended up attending ASU, but they formed a strong bond that outlasted the distance between them during Charniq’s years at college and Quintavious’ military service.
With the help of Charniq’s closest friends, Quintavious was able to pull off the perfect surprise proposal. After celebrating her 25th birthday with her girls, Charniq returned to her hotel room, ready to call it a night. Charniq’s friends’ mission was to get her out of bed and ready to ‘go out’, which proved to be challenging, but after some convincing, they succeeded. They led her to a rooftop where Quintavious was waiting to propose amongst romantic candlelight.
Their glam winter wedding featured an abundance of romantic jewel-toned florals, which were a combination of Charniq’s and Quintavious’ favorite colors. Wanting to feel like a princess, Charniq chose an intricate ballgown, with lace details and varying textures, perfect for a romantic fairytale wedding. Matching the royal aesthetic, Quintavious chose a rich-colored, velvet suit with a tie detail, embracing the winter season.
Their union radiated with the vibrant hues of a carefully curated color palette, mirroring the depth and passion of their bond. From the tender whispers to the joyous laughter, every moment celebrated their unwavering commitment and shared journey. Their wedding was not just a day of vows, but a canvas painted with the colors of their enduring love.

How did you meet?
Charniq and Quintavious met while visiting the campus of Albany State University (as high school students who were a part of the early college program) visiting the campus. Ironically, neither of them ended up attending ASU, but Charniq went on to attend Savanna State while Quintavious served in the army.
Tell us about the proposal.
Two nights before Charniq’s 25th Birthday, she celebrated with her friends and (soon to be fiancé). After a long day, Charniq went back to her hotel room to lie down and had no plans of going out with the girls and got ready for bed. Little did she know Quintavious was planning one of the most memorable birthdays of her life. With the help of her close friends (turned bridesmaids), it was their duty to get Charniq up and out of bed as they knew Quintavious’ plans. After much hassle, they managed to get Charniq up and ready to “go out,” and they led her to the surprise rooftop celebration, which led her to her forever with Quintavious. She said yes on the rooftop in an intimate candle-lit setting with her close friends and fiancé Quintavious in Los Angeles, CA.
Describe your wedding style.
Charniq & Quintavious’ attire was ultimately inspired by their “Winter” theme. Charniq decided to go with a ball gown, wanting to feel like a princess. It was the perfect choice for their winter wedding. Quintavious chose something different and unique, which was a “robe” like suit that incorporated velvet material, which was the perfect material choice for the season. The wedding shopping experience for both Charniq and Quintavious was super fun and exciting.
What is the best memory from your wedding?
Charniq: Being picked up by Quintavious during the ceremony. I was having trouble walking down the steps in my dress and I didn’t want to fall or trip. So unexpectedly, my husband decided to pick me up and carry me down like the true king he is! Risky, but it was such an iconic and adorable moment that I loved so much!
Quintavious: Seeing Charniq from a distance with the bright red lipstick and her anxious approach to the altar. Also, the cake-cutting experience was one like no other.
What is the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
Take your time when planning for your big day, give all your stress and worries to God, and remember, this day is about you and your husband only!
