Happy Fashion Friday!
The “second look dress” or “reception dress” is still gaining traction this wedding season. Our Brides have been requesting reception dress inspiration because they are adamant about switching up their look while dining, dancing and having fun with their guests. The reception dress provides an opportunity to showcase personal style and to slide into something sexier and shorter.
MODAGE Style Tip: For wedding pictures, enter the reception wearing your signature gown so that it is captured during the first dance. Afterwards, take a quick fashion pause and return with your reception dress to wow your husband and guests. Don’t forget your chic accessories, freshen up your makeup {switch up your hair, if necessary} and wear comfortable shoes.
Whether you are channeling your inner vintage glam, traditional or a contemporary bridal chic vibe, here are a few of my favorite reception dress ideas.
Honorable Mention
I adore this sparkly jumper by Paolo Sebastian. Since I’ve been married for almost 10 years, I think I would be able to pull this number off at my next renewal of vows reception {considering my personal style is very unconventional}. Are you brave enough to rock this at your reception? If so, Tweet me to let me know. Would you change the color or would you wear this pale pink color?
Is one wedding dress/look enough for your special day?
