[…] 8. DON’T freak out about sizes. Its typical for wedding dresses to run a size or two smaller than your normal pants size, or top size. At my shop, we order dresses based on your largest measurement. If you’re on the pear-shaped side, they’ll use your hip measurements; if you have a little more up top, they’ll use your bust measurements. I always tell my brides not to worry about the size that ends up fitting her, and even I don’t understand why the dresses run small. I understand that this is the last place a girl wants to think she’s gone up a size or two. We just need to focus on which size is going to be right for her and then worry about altering it to fit her perfectly later on. Photo via Munaluchi Bridal […]

I tried on 2, however I looked at over 150 dresses and I narrowed that list down to dresses that weere most complimentary to my shape and budget.

I’d say 10. What I thought I wanted was not what I ended up getting. Can’t wait to wear my dress. 35 days and counting…

Dear Jackie,
I never tried on a dress but ordered my dress after I had seen it rummaging through the various websites of wedding dresses. My fiance and I have a very strict budget on what we are spending on all the items that would make up our wedding day. I had it customized. This is my second wedding and my finance’s first. I thought it is a very fresh and romantic gown as we are getting married in a garden. When it arrived it just needed to be hemmed. It looks great. The color of the dress is champagne and my shoes are peacock blue. I also love it because I plan on wearing it again instead of wearing it once and putting it away forever.
So Editor- In- Chief Jackie,
Sam and Gina are getting married September 23, 2011. 11 more days.
