So, you are getting married! You found the perfect dress, venue, and of course, invitation that will set the tone for this joyous occasion. As you prepare to mail out your invitations to what would be the most memorable event of your life, why not make it even more special by inviting your dear President and The First Lady?
Did you know that you can mail your wedding invitation to the White House? In the event that the President and First Lady are unable to attend (which most likely will be the case due to their demanding schedule), in lieu of their RSVP card, you will instead receive a signed acknowledgement card congratulating you on your marriage. Take a look for yourself! Below is an image of the actual acknowledgement card that are sent out on behalf of the Obamas — what a great keepsake!
Anything is possible, so what do you have to lose? If you are interested in sending your wedding invitation to the White House, below is the address that it must be sent to:
The Honorable Barack Obama & Mrs. Obama
The White House
Greetings Office, Room 39
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC 20500
Please be advised that it may take a few weeks or months before you receive your acknowledgement card, as the White House does receive a large volume of invitations and announcements throughout the year.
Until next time, stay tuned for more stationery tips, information and inspiration.
