Last fall, we brought you a recap of Vera Wang’s new bridal collection which included nude, champagne-colored and black colors with (gasp!) no white dresses at all. In case you were wondering what possessed her to make such an unprecedented move, Brides interviewed the designer to understand why she did it.
According to the pioneer of bridal couture, the collection was inspired by witch craft. In addition, she wants bridal gowns to be seen as creations that are extremely fashionable and wants “brides to see themselves as seductive, sensual, and [totally free].”
What do you think of Vera’s new bridal collection? Take a look at our post and gallery here. Would you wear a color other than white on your wedding day or do you think wearing white is too significant to ignore?
