It is only right to know where some of the best places to eat on the island. This list comprises from top scale, local eateries and mid range favorites, and as well as budget friendly dine-ins. Take a look where you can find some delicious foods and treats! (Include Bonus Place!)

Budget Friendly:
11. Cuz’s Fish Shack (Bridgetown, Barbados)
Looking for the best “cutter” (Bajan for sandwich) on the island? Look no further this local gem has the best fish sandwiches Barbados has to offer. This convenient beach food bar is located in Hastings, Barbados on Carlisle Bay right off the Hilton resort. After splashing in the waves get yourself a fish sandwich with egg and/or cheese (and oh yeah their special Pepper Sauce!). These sandwiches are really a favorite among tourists and sure to please your morning taste buds!
10. Bliss Cafe (St Lawrence Gap (Dover Side), Barbados.)
This is a must for breakfast! Bliss Cafe is a charming family-owned cafe that serves traditional American breakfast as well as Caribbean food. They cater to many diets such as vegan, vegetarian, and even gluten free! Specialties include homemade paninis, fresh squeezed juices, and tasty omelets. Also cannot forget about their famous fresh waffles! Try the banana caramel waffles!
9. Island Plates (Speightstown, Saint Peter, Barbados) (Mid Range)
Island Plates is a family style restaurant and cafe run by Bajan sisters Patricia and Marie. From a variety of pastas, homemade curries and quiches, delicious gluten free options, and fresh squeezed local juice to name a few, your appetite will surely be satisfied. Also while you are there make sure you try their The Island Taster! It is a platter of with a variety of island staples such as salt fish, sweet potato balls, plantain, grilled haloumi and served with their own Island Banana and Raisin chutney!
Mid-Range:
8. Brown Sugar (Bridgetown, Barbados)
Al-a-carte or buffet options for parties of over 30 people, Brown Sugar is known for their grand display of local and Creole dishes. Lush ferns surround the dining area and the sounds of cascading water gardens and chirping frogs, gives you the impression that you are dining right at the epicenter of a tropical rain forest! Plus it is a great place for the family and they offer gluten free options as well!
7. Naru Restaurant and Lounge (Christ Church Parish, Barbados)
Recommended by My Destination Local Express and Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor for 3 years, “Naru” is derived from the Japanese verb “To Be”. This restaurant offers a fusion blend of Japanese and Caribbean cuisine and strives “to be” unique and tempting. You will enjoy their freshly made-to-order sushi at their sushi bar. With it’s stunning and breathtaking views of the nearby views of the South Coast ocean waves this is sure to be a restaurant to sit, back, unwind and relax.
6. Champers Restaurant & Wine Bar (Christ Church Parish, Barbados)
Ideal for elegant dining and business meetings, Champers is settled by a romantic waterside where guests will enjoy scrumptious Caribbean and seafood. Guests say it is hard to pick a favorite from the menu because literally they are all delicious! However always try to have their catch of the day such as Mahi Mahi. Not only is Champers a fine dining establishment, but it also has a separate colorful art gallery curated by Vanita Comissiong for the art enthusiasts. “Champers will offer you Flavour, Elegance and Culture at the Water’s Edge.”
5. Cafe Luna (Christ Church, Barbados)
Winner of BHTA Restaurant of the Year in 2012, this award-winning restaurant has also received Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 5 years in a row! Located on the rooftop of Little Arches Hotel, this luxurious restaurant boasts panoramic views of the Caribbean sea and is also a perfect setting for a romantic intimate dinner. Cafe Luna specializes in Pan-Tropical cuisine which is a fusion of Caribbean, Asian, and Mediterranean flavors made from local, fresh, organic ingredients.

4. Cin Cin Barbados (Prospect, Barbados)
“Cin, Cin”! is an Italian phrase for toast or cheers to good health. Cin Cin is a refreshingly contemporary, elegant new restaurant that offers ‘alfresco dining’ with sweeping views of the west coast of Barbados. This restaurant is a must visit while you are on the island. Perfect for romantic dates or special engagements, you will get a taste of the delicious Italian cuisine here!
3. Daphne’s Barbados (Saint James Parish, Barbados)
At Daphne’s you will enjoy modern Italian classics infused with fresh caught seafood from the Bajan waters. Here you will have a selection of delicious fish and lobster to eat plus an elegant waterfront surrounding views. Rated as one of the top 10 “Most Popular” restaurants in the Best of Barbados Zagat Guide and has hosted many celebrities such as Simon Cowell, Rihanna, Claudia Schiffer, Gerald Butler and many more. They also have an great and extensive gluten free menu for those that miss eating pasta!
2. The Tides (Holetown, Barbados)
This is not just a restaurant but a “Fantastic Dining Experience That Awaits You”! This highly acclaimed fine dining restaurant is owned by husband and wife team Guy and Tammie Beasley. The Tides offers culinary works of art of the freshest and finest seafood, meat selection of veal, beef, chicken, and braised lamb shank. In addition to their nouveau cuisine style, they have an exquisite selection of wines to choose from.
1. The Cliff in (Saint James Parish, Barbados)
The Cliff is the high point and premier of Bajan fine dining. It is the island’s best known restaurant because of its compelling and breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The name is derived from the restaurant’s architecture. It is built down the side of a cliff overlooking the sea. The Cliff specializes in Asian Fusion, French and Thai cuisine and also has an upstairs lounge with live acoustic music on Friday and Saturday nights. The Cliff is truly the epitome of the Bajan dining experience!
