Not too long ago Priscilla of Boston, renowned bridal chain with over 60 years of service to brides, announced that it would sadly be closing its business. That final close took place last Friday, but it wasn’t without incident. Witnesses saw and recorded the defacing of wedding gowns worth tens of thousands of dollars, including a $6000 Vera Wang creations outside a Priscilla of Boston store in Edina, Minnesota. The gowns were being spray-painted, and generally, destroyed.
Of course, eye witnesses and members of the populace who got wind of the news were outraged because they expected the dresses to be donated or resold at other locations instead of being destroyed. As Priscilla of Boston’s parent company, David’s Bridal released a statement apologizing on behalf of its now defunct subsidiary.
