Actress Meagan Good is Engaged!!!

Sultry and gorgeous actress, Meagan Good, who truly came to the limelight as “Cisely” in Eve’s Bayou is engaged! The Think Like a Man and Californication star is engaged to a fellow entertainment heavyweight, DeVon Franklin. According to reports, they’ve been dating for several months and became a couple during the filming of Jumping the Broom, a project they were both involved in.

Last year during an interview with Complex Magazine, Meagan shared her vision for an ideal partner:

“It would take someone who is spiritual and loves God. Someone who respects my mind and what I have to offer besides my physical appearance,” she told the magazine. “Someone who actually loves other people and is connected to my destiny. This person has to be walking down the same path as I and want the same thing out of life.”

For those unfamiliar with DeVon, the 33 year old Hollywood executive was #76 on The Root’s 2011 list of most influential 100 African-Americans, The Root 100. He is currently Vice President at Columbia Pictures (a subsidiary of Sony), but got his start at Will Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment, as an assistant to Will Smith’s business partner, James Lassiter. Franklin has been a part of the team that put together The Karate Kid, Jumping the Broom, and Moneyball. He is also a producer integral to Whitney Houston’s remake of Sparkle. DeVon is also a published author and devoted Seventh Day Adventist who periodically delivers sermons at his local church.

Meagan and DeVon sound like a great fit: they are both entertainment insiders who know what it takes to survive in that industry and are both committed to their faith. It’s also undeniable that they look great together :-). Congratulations to the happy couple!!
