When most brides envision their special day, skulls and crossbones don’t usually come to mind. But when Terrian Freeman of Dream Plan-It Events envisions a bride’s special day, she thinks of all the possibilities. Inspired by the haunted romance of The Addams Family, Terrian wanted to create a sexy and couture bridal styled shoot that channeled the allure of Morticia Adams. “Her look is classic, sultry and captivating. Let’s not forget how much her husband, Gomez adores her, that made for the perfect spin on the movie. I wanted to recreate the modern day Gomez and Morticia,” Terrian says.
The Whitby Castle was the perfect location for the spooky shoot. Using black, red, and gold as the color palette, the shoot beautifully fused fright and opulence. Skulls inspired the motif for the gorgeous tablescape, giving the vision of love a Halloween twist. “I wanted to show that Halloween can be spooky, sexy, unique and fun,” Terrian says. And that she did. Matte black invites with gold calligraphy by Eliza Gwendalyn tied in beautifully with the luxe theme. Deep red and oxblood florals provided by Edelweiss Floral Atelier brought out the true essence of romance. Luxe LeBlanc’s chic styling aptly complimented the sultry makeup from Felicia Folakemi and hair by Hair by Sadiku. Coterie member Chloe + Isabel by Laura Jean-Jacques provided beautiful accessories for Mrs. Adams and Desserts by Dana designed a stunning cake for the daring affair.
