Atlanta Fashion Engagement Shoot: Remy + Lamont

Hot couple alert!  We adore this couple’s engagement session.  Lots of love…and wardrobe changes.  Remy and Lamont are both assistant buyers and met while working at Macys South many years ago.  They were actually “cube” neighbors turned close friends turned…well you know the rest!  For their engagement session, they knew exactly what they wanted and searched high and low to find the perfect photographer…and they did.  Edwin and Avina of Enmuse Photography spent the entire day with the couple and photographed them in three different locations.

Remy explains her vision…

“We had a very clear vision of our photography style and it took us a while to find photographers that we felt could execute that vision. We did not want traditional engagement pictures; we wanted our pictures to be more modern with a hint of edge. Luckily, we stumbled upon Edwin and Avina from Enmuse Photography and they completely understood our perspective. We collaborated to come up with the perfect combination of locations, inspiration of poses and even attire.

Our shoot lasted an entire day spanning three locations that Enmuse suggested. The first location was our “Grown and Sexy” shoot – we shot at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Atlanta. We loved the decor in their restaurant and lobby and just knew that it would bring out that twist of edginess we were looking for.

The second location was our “Out and About” shoot at the High Museum in midtown Atlanta. The modern, white architecture and bright colors really complemented our style and personalities.

The final location was our “Hanging in the Park” shoot at Piedmont Park also in midtown Atlanta. This shoot brought out our more playful sides. With the sunset as the backdrop these pictures turned out to be some of our favorites.

We loved how our pictures turned out and will treasure them for years to come!

 

The proposal…

Lamont told Remy that his company was having a big, formal Christmas party! On December 21, 2012, we arrived at The Capital Grille in Buckhead on a rainy night. When we got inside the hostess informed us that most of the guests had not arrived yet; probably due to the weather, but she would take us to the room anyway. When we made it to the private room adorned with candles and rose petals, Remy was extremely confused – “Why are we the first people here??” “Why would they put everyone in this small room??” Then Lamont said “There is no Christmas party, it’s just us baby!” He asked Remy to have a seat proceeded with the sweetest, most touching speech and concluded by asking for her hand in marriage!!! Remy in a state of shock, excitement and disbelief happily said YESSSSS!!!! Throughout our perfectly romantic night Remy continuely asked if this was real because it felt so surreal and luckily she was not dreaming, but definitely had a dream come true!!
