On Friday, June 3, Amsale Aberra, bridal couture designer extraordinaire and Munaluchi Bridal favorite, revealed some of this summer’s hottest wedding gown trends on “The View.” That day’s entire show was dedicated to wedding planning and wedding trends-a perfect topic since the newly-married Niecy Nash acted as guest co-host and permanent co-host Sherri Shepherd is planning her own nuptials.
The first trend showcased by Amsale was the use of chantilly lace to make dresses. This dress was inspired by the royal bride, Kate Middleton.
The second trend is the option not to wear white. Amsale revealed that more brides are opting to wear other colors on their wedding day. This gorgeous dress is a very light blue done in taffeta.
The third trend is the use of tulle to make dresses. Everyone on the show agreed that tulle is the “fairy tale fabric” because it brings a certain fairy tale quality to a dress.
This fourth dress was referred to as the “creme de la creme” of dresses. It had Niecy Nash shrieking that she wanted to get married again. Take a look at the amazing silhoutte and elaborate detail.
Other trends discussed were the option to wear shorter dresses and the use of organza as a wedding fabric. Amsale also stated that it is always better to buy the wedding dress in a larger size to give room for alteration where necessary, instead of the other way around.
For summer brides, here’s to gorgeous inspiration!
