Tell us how you met and all about the proposal: Ewon and I met freshmen year at the University of Mount Olive. We both played on the Men’s and Women’s basketball team and soon became friends. After the first semester we started dating, and have been in love for seven years now.
For the proposal, we were attending a wedding of a good friend of ours. During the bouquet toss of the reception, the bride actually handed me the bouquet and Ewon surprised me with an unforgettable marriage proposal.
Describe your engagement session. Since we both played for our college Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, we decided to include basketball in our engagement photos at Shelly Lake Park. Even though we don’t play basketball as much now we don’t ever want to forget how the game helped to bring us together. After a few shots on the court we wanted to switch it up a bit and capture our classy but casual side in the garden at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC. We are very mellow and laid back but we know how to make each other smile.
What did you do on your first date? Our first date was a movie and dinner.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Watch movies and sports, and get ice cream and go on walks.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been fun but a very long process!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Becoming one!
