These days, vintage is in. And that can be anything vintage…vintage gowns, vintage shoes, vintage hair accessories, vintage props…We’re starting off your day with a super cute engagement session shot brilliantly by Anne of Anne Wilmus Photography. The Pittsburg couple is planning a vintage themed wedding, so this e-session ties in perfectly. You’ve got to appreciate this old-school drop top car and especially the custom license plates with the couples’ wedding date. How cute is that!?
Meet the couple… Bride: Angela Newell Groom: Samuel Williams Wedding Date: 7/7/12 Occupations: Angela is an Intermediate Systems Analyst at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Samuel owns and operates C4Management LLC, A Security & Transportation Firm Wedding Location: The Hyeholde [divider]The first encounter…“The two of us actually met out at a late night eatery. Samuel offered me some of his food. I thought awe how cute!? From that day forward, he began to pursue me and was very persistent. I loved that about him! I have not laughed as much as I do now in years. He always finds a way to make me smile.” -Angela
The proposal…“Samuel proposed to me during breakfast one morning. It was just the two of us and it was perfect to me. It meant a lot to hear him express his love for me…. and of course I said YES!”
The wedding theme… “I’m having vintage-chic wedding, fusing the past with the present. I really love a classy, older, romantic look. It’s timeless and really brings out true style! We are really carrying through the vintage-chic theme from A to Z, hence the beautiful old school car for our engagement shoot!” -Angela
Looking forward to… “The look on Samuel’s face as I walk down the aisle. When I think of Sam, I think about the new song by Beyonce “Love on Top”. Our love is so powerful and I am just so happy of how far we’ve come. I look forward to watching the chapters of our lives unfold…..” – Angela
What has been the most challenging aspect of planning the wedding so far? “Luckily, I really haven’t come across a challenging situation thus far…I have a wonderful wedding planner that really keeps me together. I would recommend SHE (Shayla Hawkins Events) to anyone!”
It’s always interesting to find out how a bride settles on her wedding vendors. Here’s what Angela had to say…“I actually found the ceremony and reception venue. It has an intimate ambiance along with an old castle look to it and I thought it would go perfect with the theme and my planner agreed! I heard of and had a recommendation for SHE (Shayla Hawkins Events) and I wanted to work with them. SHE recommended photographers. We met with a few including Anne Wilmus Photography whom SHE recently worked on a wedding with. I loved Anne’s work and knew her style of photography was what I wanted. We had so much fun working with her during our engagement shoot and can’t wait until the wedding!”

Tell us one thing you love most about him.. “One thing I love about Sam is that he has such a big heart and he does so much for others.” Tell us one thing he loves most about you… “I appreciate the simple things and I know Sam loves that the most about me.”[divider]
Congrats Angela and Samuel and kudos on such a cool vintage-inspired engagement session! We are sure you two will have a unique and fabulous wedding. Best of luck with the planning!
